Andalusia by train: Malaga-Seville line: El Chorro/ Osuna/ Marchena

The Renfe Malaga-Seville line offers the adventurous traveller a chance to discover some delightful destinations. The train runs approximately every three hours from the María Zambrano Station. The first interesting stop on the Malaga section of the route is El Chorro. This is a popular destination for rock climbers and hikers seeing as it is located close to the Los Gaitanes Gorge. The main attraction is the Caminito del Rey (King’s pathway), a breath-taking cliff-side walkway hanging 100m above the Guadalhorce River. Known as ‘the scariest path in Spain’, it is extremely popular with tourists, although it is most definitely not for the faint-hearted or those that suffer with vertigo. The marvels and mysteries of Seville revealed in new book by British author

    Malaga-based British author Tony Bryant has recently published his latest book - Seville. A City of Marvels. The writer has lived in Torremolinos for almost 30 years and he is the author of five books of Spanish theme, including a trilogy on the art of flamenco. A former rock drummer from South London, Tony is considered a knowledgeable authority on the art of flamenco and he specialises in the genealogy of the large gypsy clans that reside in the provinces of Seville and Cádiz. He is a regular contributor to the London-based Flamenco News magazine, and he is affiliated with El Museo del Baile Flamenco, a state- of- the- art flamenco dance museum in Seville. In 2014, he participated in a documentary that the British Broadcasting Company recorded in Córdoba and Seville. However, his latest book moves away from the flamenco culture and focuses on Seville, a city which has played an important role in his life since first arriving in Andalucía. Seville.
